CUMBERLAND COLTS BASEBALL

After learning about the Blue Ridge League, an early 20th century semi-pro baseball league based in and around West Virginia’s Eastern Panhandle, I became kind of obsessed. To keep my design skills sharp, I created this identity and branding for the Cumberland Colts. The new embroidery filter in Photoshop blew my mind—see the patch below for results. When working with AI, I’ve tried to use a light touch. I’ve been able to generate mock ups, which has probably been the most helpful use, especially when real-world examples don’t exactly fit my needs. I generated a mockup of a gym bag using Midjourney; the rest, is all human-made.
